HTC India has announced the launch of Desire 12 and Desire 12+ in India at a price of INR 15,800 and INR 19,790. Both the devices come with 18:9 full view displays and are available for pre-order exclusively at HTC E-Store. Let’s have a quick look at the specifications of both the devices.
HTC Desire 12
HTC desire 12 features a 5.5 inch HD display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a glass back that adds to the design. It is powered by a 2730 mAh battery that is slightly lower for the price tag of INR 15,800.
It comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage along with a Mediatek MT6739 quad core processor. For the camera part it comes with a 13MP rear camera with flash with F2.2 aperture so do not expect it to do wonders in low light conditions.
Coming to the front camera it is a 5MP sensor with F2.4 aperture and again do not expect a lot from the cameras on the HTC desire 12. It comes with Proximity sensor, Ambient Light sensor, Motion-G sensor and magnetic sensor. Connectivity features include 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm jack and Micro USB 2.0 without any fast charging capabilities as it comes with 5V/1A charger.
HTC Desire 12+
HTC Desire 12+ comes with a slightly bigger 6 inch display with the same aspect ratio of 18:9 along with a similar glass back design but with a fingerprint senor on it. It is powered by just slightly larger 2975 mAh battery that is again too low considering the price range.
It also comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage but a better Snapdragon 450 Octa-core processor. On the camera part it has a dual camera setup on the back with 13MP+2MP sensors and a 8MP front camera for selfies.
It has same sensors as of the Desire 12 with fingerprint and compass sensor added to it. Connectivity features are again same except for better charging due to the 5V/1.5A charger.
Both the devices are overpriced if seen on paper I’ve no idea about the day-to-day usage but some other options in the same price range including Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and Huawei P20 Lite.
