Reliance Jio has announced plans for its Jio Prime membership programme.The existing users need to pay a fee of Rs 99 for getting themselves enrolled into the programme which will be valid till March 31, 2018.After users have enrolled into the Prime membership programme, they will have to select a plan from Prime plans which start for as low as Rs 19.
As of now, Jio had been providing free data and calling services to its users with a daily limit of 1GB on the data usage.The same now comes in the form of Jio’s Rs 303 plan which offers the same offer to its subscribers With 1GB data cap per day and unlimited calls, SMS, the validity of Rs 303 plan is set to 28 days. In comparison, a user who has not opted in on the Prime programme will only get 2.5GB data usage with the Rs 303 plan.
Jio’s Prime membership plans start from Rs 19 which has a validity of 1 day with 200 MB data, followed by Rs 49 for 3 days with 600MB data, Rs 96 giving you 7GB data usage for a week, Rs 149 for 28 days with 2 GB data and Rs 303 with a validity of 28 days with 1GB per day cap.
Furthermore, plans after Rs 303 offer either double data or come without any capping. The Rs 499 plan comes with a data cap of 2GB per day and will last for 28 days. By shelling out Rs 999, Rs 1999, Rs 4999 or Rs 9999 a user will get 60GB, 125GB, 350GB and 750GB data at 4G speeds with no capping. The validity of these plans have also been increased exponentially, with Rs 999 plan lasting for 60 days, Rs 1999 for 90 days, Rs 4999 for 180 days and Rs 9999 for a full year.
In essence, even if a user subscribes to Jio’s recommended Rs 303 plan, he or she will end up spending Rs 3,636 till the next year.
If you want to subscribe to Jio’s Postpaid plans, they come in three varieties — Rs 303, Rs 499 and Rs 999 and are similar to their Prepaid counterparts in offerings.
Apart from these plans, Jio has also released details about its Booster packs which start from Rs 11 providing 100MB of data and go up to Rs 301 which will give you an additional 10GB data over your existing plan.
For Prepaid users, Jio has also revealed the prices of its Top-ups. What’s to be noted here is that Jio’s top-ups till Rs 50 come with a regular Talktime but from Rs 100, Jio is offering full Talktime to its users till the value of Rs 5000.
Jio Prime members will also get access to Jio’s suite of entertainment services until March 31, 2018, if they use Jio apps.
If a user does not want to take up the Prime membership and will also skip the monthly recharges, like any other telecom operator, Jio will disconnect your number from its service after 90 days.
